About This Programme
European Youth Summer Music (EYSM) is an international orchestral and vocal summer school for young musicians, offering both residential and day places. Students join one of four orchestras (Course Orchestra, Sinfonia, Wind Orchestra and All Strings) or the vocal course, with composition and accompanist places also available, plus optional daily activities such as chamber music, gospel choir, Alexander Technique and musical theatre. The week culminates in evening performances.
- Schedule
- One-week course (Jul 26-Aug 1). 4 orchestras, residential or day places. 15-20 vocal places. Supported by Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation.
Admission Requirements
Required playing standard from Grade 6 to post-Diploma (or overseas equivalent). No audition for general admission; video auditions are used for Course Orchestra Leader and concerto soloist places.
