The inspection focused on compliance with the Education (Independent School Standards) Regulations 2014 and the Early Years Statutory Framework, and found that the school met the required standards in areas including safeguarding, behaviour, bullying, fire safety, risk assessment, and leadership and management. In September 2023, the school received a routine inspection report highlighting several areas for improvement. The report noted that the proprietor had not ensured that leaders and managers consistently met independent school standards, particularly in maintaining records related to behaviour, bullying, fire safety, and risk assessment. Additionally, the evaluation of the school's effectiveness in meeting its aims was underdeveloped. The newly appointed headteacher, supported by the wider leadership team, was aware of these issues and was taking action to improve the school's policies and processes. As of May 2026, the headteacher of Avenue House School is Ms. Ravinder Nandra.
